How can I help my Nanny adjust in to the new role?
Give your nanny space to gain respect from the children, if a parent is always around this will be hard for the nanny to do
Don’t undermine your nanny in front of the children, take them aside quietly to explain if a decision was made that you did not agree with
Don’t stress the small things, the Nanny will be focusing on bonding with the children as priority and will then master the rest
Let your nanny know what they can eat for lunch and check if there are any items they like in particular to be stocked
Give your nanny feedback after the first week on things that you would like to see improved
Praise your nanny and let them know when they are doing well so they know what to keep doing
What do Nannies cost and what are my responsibilities?
Live out full time nannies range from £13 - £16 net per hour depending on experience / hours offered / number of children.
Live in full time nannies range from £500 - £700 net per week depending on experience / number of children / type of accommodation offered.
These costs increase significantly once converted to gross so please make sure you have taken this into account when quoting your budget to your consultant or please ask us to inform you of the estimated ‘total cost to employer’.
It is your responsibility to set your nanny up on payroll and pay their tax, national insurance and pension contributions and to make weekly or monthly transactions directly to your nanny. It is a requirement by law that you obtain Employer’s Liability Insurance. If the nanny has use of your car, it is your responsibility to make sure the nanny is insured on that vehicle. It is your responsibility to provide a private room, use of a bathroom and laundry facilities and all food and beverages if the nanny is live in. If the nanny is live out then you will need to provide a light lunch and beverages. In both cases the nanny is responsible for preparing their own meals and cleaning up after themselves.

What are the Agency’s fees and what are my responsibilities?
We have a search activation fee of £200 which is due upon registration. If you decide to go with one of our nannies this fee will be deducted from your invoice.
We charge 4x the net weekly salary of the nanny as our placement fee. This fee is due at the time of booking to secure the nanny, until this fee is settled the booking will not be secure and the nanny will still be interviewing for other roles.
It is your responsibility to inform us directly if you wish to make an offer of employment to the nanny.
If in the first 4 weeks of your nanny starting you decide they are not right, we will offer one free replacement of your choice, although we advise you to try and resolve any issues first. The date you need to inform us by will be stated at the time of booking. The free replacement search will be active for up to 6 weeks, providing we have supplied you with at least 10 new applicants meeting all of the criteria.
