A Temporary Day Nanny is the perfect solution if you need flexible childcare for a short period of time. Whether you require cover for a single day, several weeks or a longer fixed-term arrangement, we can help you find an experienced nanny to suit your family's needs.

Many of our Temporary Day Nannies are available at short notice, making them ideal if your regular childcare has fallen through, you're returning to work, you're travelling, or you simply need extra support during busy periods. We also have nannies who are happy to work on flexible week-to-week arrangements where longer-term plans have not yet been confirmed.

As with our permanent placements, every nanny introduced by WrightAdvice has been interviewed by our team and has undergone reference and document checks, giving you confidence that you are welcoming a suitable and experienced professional into your home.

What does a Temporary Day Nanny cost?

Temporary Day Nannies typically earn between £18 and £25 gross per hour, depending on a number of factors including:

The nanny's qualifications and experience
The location of the role and any travel involved
The number and ages of the children
The nature of the booking

For example, specialist maternity nannies and candidates with extensive newborn experience will generally command higher rates.

Additional: Our temporary nanny placement service is charged at £150 per week, with a minimum booking period of one week.

The placement fees are paid at the time of booking to secure the total amount of weeks required.

Candidate Deposits

Some temporary nannies may request a booking deposit to secure the agreed dates, particularly during busy periods or for longer bookings. Any such arrangements are agreed directly between you and the nanny before the booking begins.
