Newborn Specialists
24 hour or overnight care and advice for your new baby from an expert who can guide you and your baby in the early stages. Newborn Specialists can come to your home for as many days or nights as you need per week, they will help you with all aspects of baby care, allowing you to get some much needed rest.
What will a Newborn Specialist do?
Give guidance and support on routine, sleep and feeding
Help implement routine
Advise on breastfeeding
Bottle feed, wash, sterilize and prepare bottles
Keep the baby’s nursery and play areas organised, tidy and stocked up
Baby’s laundry (24hr or day shifts only) and bedding changes
Bath the baby (24hr or day shifts only)
Encourage developmental stages and age appropriate stimulation
Help integrate baby into the family
Allow parents to rest / do night feeds
What do I need to provide for a Newborn Specialist?
Private bedroom (usually shared with baby)
Use of a bathroom
Use of a washing machine (24hr shifts only)
All meals, snacks and beverages (24hr or day shifts only)
Sufficient breaks (usually 4 consecutive hours - 24hr shifts only)
What do Newborn Specialists cost?
24 hours: £350 - £600 gross per 24 hours
Nights or Days only: £20 - £35 gross per hour
The rates will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and their location (if they have to factor in travel costs) Newborn Specialists are self employed and responsible for their own tax and National Insurance contributions. They will provide a contract to agree their terms and require a deposit to secure the booking from their side.
Additional: Our Newborn Specialist placement service is charged at £150 per week, with a minimum booking period of one week.
The placement fees are paid at the time of booking to secure the total amount of weeks required.
These fees are due in advance of the booking to secure your chosen candidate for the requested time frame. It is your responsibility to inform the Agency of any additional shifts that the Newborn Specialist does outside of the original booking. If you wish to extend the length of the booking please let your consultant know as early as possible so we can try to secure the same Newborn Specialist for you.
