24 hour or overnight care and advice for your new baby from an expert who can guide you and your baby in the early stages. Maternity Nurses and Night Nannies can come to your home for as many days or nights as you need per week, they will help you with all aspects of baby care, allowing you to get some much needed rest.

What will a Maternity Nurse do?

  • Give guidance and support on routine, sleep and feeding

  • Help implement routine

  • Advise on breastfeeding

  • Bottle feed, wash, sterilize and prepare bottles

  • Keep the baby’s nursery and play areas organised, tidy and stocked up

  • Baby’s laundry and bedding changes

  • Bath the baby

  • Encourage developmental stages and age appropriate stimulation

  • Help integrate baby into the family

  • Allow parents to rest

What do I need to provide for a Maternity Nurse?

  • Private bedroom (usually shared with baby)

  • Use of a bathroom

  • Use of a washing machine

  • All meals, snacks and beverages

  • Sufficient breaks (usually 4 consecutive hours)

What will a Night Nanny do?

  • Give guidance and support on routine, sleep and feeding

  • Help implement routine through the night

  • Advise on breastfeeding

  • Bottle feed, wash, sterilize and prepare bottles

  • Allow parents to rest

What do I need to provide for a Night Nanny?

  • Private bedroom (usually shared with baby)

  • Use of a bathroom

  • Beverages

What do Maternity Nurses and Night Nannies cost?

  • Maternity Nurses: £200 - £350 per 24 hours (up to £450 for multiples)

  • Night Nannies: £15 - £25 per hour (up to £30 per hour for multiples)

The rates will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and their location (if they have to factor in travel costs) Maternity Nurses and Night Nannies are self employed and responsible for their own tax and National Insurance contributions. A Maternity Nurse will provide a contract to agree their terms and require a deposit to secure the booking from their side.

What are the Agency’s fees and what are my responsibilities?

In addition to the fees of the Maternity Nurse or Night Nanny the Agency has the following:

  • Registration Fee: £50 (does not expire)

  • Fee per 24hrs or per night: £20

These fees are due in advance of the booking to secure your chosen candidate for the requested time frame. It is the Client’s responsibility to inform the Agency of any additional shifts that the Maternity Nurse or Night Nanny does outside of the original booking. If you wish to extend the length of the booking please let your consultant know as early as possible so we can try to secure the same Maternity nurse or Night Nanny for you.
